For the first time, the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) incorporated NOOK Event Pods® into their International Conference & Exhibition—bringing an added layer of comfort and functionality to their Boston event.
Positioned strategically throughout the venue, the pods provided attendees with a dedicated place to step away from educational sessions, catch up on work, and hold important conversations outside the main event environment. In a conference focused on innovation and scientific advancement, having a structured and quiet space to process information proved invaluable.
This particular activation featured a more formal meeting configuration. The NOOK Event Pods® were arranged specifically for scheduled, structured meetings, with an attendant positioned at the front to provide direction and help keep conversations running on time. This thoughtful setup created an efficient, professional environment ideal for:
- Expert consultations
- One-on-one meetings
- Media interviews
- Press briefings
It’s a strong example of how mobile meeting spaces can move beyond casual seating and evolve into fully organized, managed meeting zones within an event footprint.
