Every year, the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC) brings together thousands of students, educators, and industry partners to celebrate excellence in career and technical education. As the nation’s largest gathering of America’s future skilled workforce, the event is filled with energy, creativity, and opportunities for the next generation to connect and learn.
For several years running, The Deondo Company has been proud to be part of this incredible event by providing NOOK Event Pods® as welcoming places for attendees to gather, relax, and connect throughout the conference.
Strategically placed around the Georgia World Congress Center, the pods offered much-needed seating where students could take a break between competitions and sessions, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy being part of the SkillsUSA experience. Throughout the event, they quickly became natural gathering places filled with conversation, collaboration, and laughter.
One of the most popular features was the integrated whiteboards, which encouraged attendees to leave messages of encouragement, celebrate accomplishments, and connect with fellow competitors from across the country. Throughout the week, the whiteboards transformed into colorful displays of positivity, school spirit, and inspiration—creating memories that extended far beyond the competition floor.
The SkillsUSA conference is a wonderful reminder that meeting spaces can do more than provide seating—they can foster community. By giving attendees comfortable places to pause, connect, and share their experiences, NOOK Event Pods® helped enhance an already unforgettable event.
